Shellita Jackson, Diane Lammers and Ryan Whittington are the most recent staff members at Seniors Home Care to earn and receive certification as Certified Demetia Practitioners.

Certified (CDP® Certified Dementia Practitioner®) means that Shellita, Diane and Ryan have taken their profession to the next level. It states clearly that they are educated in the field of Dementia. Not only are they qualified to work with dementia clients but also they are certified. Certification requires that the CDP® stays current with trends, ethics, regulations, medications and new developments that pertain to Dementia.

A recent Alzheimer's Association study shows that one in nine people age 65 and older has Alzheimer's disease and this rate is expected to grow. As professionals in this field, it is increasingly important that we continue to remain education and trained in Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
