I’m Kit Whittington. When I founded Seniors Home Care (SHC), it was the realization of a dream: to provide in-home care for older adults in the St. Louis area.
It was more than 38 years ago when my own grandmother needed in-home care. Without access to an organization like SHC, we felt I had no choice but to resign from my corporate job to care for her myself. Being a single mom, this was a tough decision, but I’m so grateful I made it. It helped me realize that I wasn’t the only one who needed these services for loved ones.

I have now used SHC every day for over a year and couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism, responsiveness, trustworthiness, and compassion through some very difficult times. SHC caregivers have provided care at home including 24/7 hospice care for my relative as well as care in the hospital, rehab center and for visits to the doctor. I trust them implicitly. They have managed all of the pieces such as transitioning from rehab to home. They are excellent at communicating with me. SHC has my highest recommendation and my deepest thanks.

I made appointments with three agencies and can honestly say choosing SHC was the right and only choice. The other two agencies didn't begin to compare to what SHC offered and the way I viewed SHC. I found each caregiver to be well trained, professional, caring, patient, and each had her own method for dealing with an elderly man with increasing Alzheimer's. He was treated with the respect he's earned after 95 years of life and for that, I'm so grateful.

In May, it appeared, my own dad needed services and I called to have him evaluated. A nurse came the next morning and determined my dad needed hospitalization. I called SHC again and they were there to welcome my dad back at his home and were there with him 24/7 until he passed away. Having SHC there helped us as a family, visit with him, and not worry about his care. I can without hesitation recommend SHC to those needing more assistance so that they can remain in their homes.
